How is my sample for testing collected?
Viral or PCR tests check samples from your respiratory system, such as a swab from the inside of your nose, to see if you are currently infected with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
Antibodies are detected in the blood of people who are tested after infection; they show the body’s efforts to fight off a specific infection. The test is conducted by collecting blood through venipuncture.
